Newquay and mid Cornwall
Newquay is widely regarded as Cornwall’s party capital and it’s easy to see why
Here there’s a high concentration of bars, pubs and clubs where you can let your hair down and have a great time. But Newquay is also a resort that prides itself on having some of the best beaches in Cornwall. There’s no fewer than seven beaches to visit, including the iconic Fistral Beach, a surfing hotspot. On the south coast, the pretty towns of Fowey, Looe, Polruan and Polperro are also worth a visit.
Truro is Cornwall’s only city, and it’s a small one at that. But it’s beautiful and a visit here is great for shopaholics as the city is packed full of big brands and independent traders. It also has a glorious cathedral.

Things to do
In Newquay you can visit some top family attractions such as Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo and Pirate’s Quest and also a new cinema. Crealy Adventure Park is also close by. Or, if you’re in the mood for adventure why not try coasteering with an organised group or have a surfing lesson at Fistral Beach?
Heading south, a visit to the Eden Project is well worth it. Here you can spend your time wandering around this educational charity and exploring the Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes.
