5 of the Best Things to do in Cornwall this October

October is the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy the best of our region, whilst the sun is still shining (mostly), and the air is crisp, but without the bustling crowds of the summer.

Here’s our guide to the best things to do in Cornwall this October Half term with the whole family.

The Beaches!

Wrap up and take a stroll along some almost deserted, sandy beaches. Breathe in the salty air and let the sea wind blow away the cobwebs. There’s nothing quite like a walk on the beach to clear your mind and revitalise the body. And we have some of the best beaches in the country too!

Halloween Themed Days Out!

We always look forward to visiting local theme parks around October Half term. The queues are shorter, but no less fun! Just remember to layer up and you’ll make some incredible memories, whether it’s HallowEden (venture deep into the Rainforest Biome at twilight for a bewitching torchlit trail… if you dare…), HalloWeek at Camel Creek (Stable Surprise, House of Horrors, Witch’s Grotto and so many new spooky attractions from trails, treats, and maybe the odd trick) or Flambards Trick or Treat Week.

Autumnal Walks!

Head for the South West Coastal Path, or in-land for countless options of woodland walks or hilltop strolls, there’s so many to choose from. How about Golitha Falls, or Cardinham Woods.

Country Pubs!

Head to the nearest country pub with a fireplace and real local ales on tap! You are welcome!

Pumpkin Patch!

No October is complete without a visit to the Pumpkin Patch! Or look out for our Entertainment Guide and join us for pumpkin carving competitions and loads of spooky fun and games all week.
