Where is Harlyn Sands?

Harlyn Sands Holiday Park just 3 miles from Padstow is on the North Cornwall coast looking out over Harlyn Bay.

Located on the spectacular Trevose Headland, you can explore the natural wonders Constantine Bay, Booby’s Bay and the countless other coves and beaches, which are all just a short walk away from our site.

We’re just 20 minutes from Newquay Airport and 15 minutes from the A39 Atlantic Highway, which runs along Cornwall’s north coast.

How to get to Harlyn Sands

From Plymouth:

  • Take the A38 through Liskeard to Bodmin.
  • Then take the A389 to Wadebridge then continue to Padstow.
  • Before reaching Padstow, turn off for St Merryn and follow signs for Harlyn Sands.

From Exeter:

  • Take the A30 to Bodmin.
  • Then take the A389 to Wadebridge then continue to Padstow.
  • Before reaching Padstow, turn off for St Merryn and follow signs for Harlyn Sands.
How far is it to the beach?

Just a short walk from Harlyn Sands, alongside glorious fields (and sometimes sheep) is Boat bay and Harlyn Bay. It is around 300 yards. You can see the walk from the site here.

From here you can also join the South West Coastal Path, and walk the 7 Bays.

Is there public transport available?

There is a bus stop at Mother Iveys Corner – a 12 minute walk from Harlyn Sands. Alternatively you can walk along Harlyn Bay beach and catch the bus from Harlyn Warren.

Can I bring my dogs to Harlyn Sands?

Dogs are permitted into certain caravans, but please only 1 dog per caravan, do not let other dogs into your caravan. £75 per week for the dog.

Please keep your dog off the beds and make sure they do not lay or sleep on the furniture and where they do sleep they use their own bedding.

Dogs are to kept on a lead at all times, and any fouling must be cleared up immediately by the owner. A £20 fine will incur if dogs are caught off the lead or fouling on site.

Is bedding and linen included in holiday homes?

You will require quilt covers, top and bottom sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

We require a deposit of one third of the total cost at the time of booking (with the balance to be paid 28 days prior to arrival.)

We also require a £60 Key & Damage Deposit for holiday homes. This deposit is to cover any damage to the caravan, loss of keys, cleanliness of caravan upon vacation, or a wet mattress. If we feel necessary we will charge a £20.00 cleaning fee. The deposit will be returned onto your credit card or by cheque if we find everything ok with the caravan within 7 days of your departure.

What is the power supply to touring pitches?

Electricity is a 6amp supply

What time can I check in and vacate the site?

Check in is from 4pm 

We ask that you return keys/ vacate the pitch by 10am on your final day. 

Is there Wi-Fi on site?

Wi-fi is available in the communal areas and in holiday homes with a small surcharge. Please contact reception for details.
